Home Yoga Collective

Home Yoga Collective is a co-operative studio run by a trio of yoga teachers committed to the vibrancy and welfare of our community. We offer hatha, yin, lymphatic, and restorative yoga in English and Swedish, as well as massage, at Vindhemsgatan 32, Uppsala, Sweden.

The studio is also a gathering place for artistic performance, co-creation, and group discussion.

We, the teachers, are longtime yoga practitioners with trainings certified by Yoga Alliance. Coming from diverse backgrounds—from law and languages to music, dance, and psychoanalysis—we are united in our belief in yoga’s transformative potential through breath, meditation, and mindful movement. Regular classes

Monday

Yin Yoga, 17.30: A sequence of longer held poses, aided with props, for deep grounding and nervous system release. 60 min, taught by Meghan.

Creative Hatha, 19.15: A steady, fluid hatha class incorporating somatics approaches and research on fascia, the body’s connective tissue. A gentle challenge for body and mind that will awaken, strengthen, and release the body as a whole system. 60 min, taught by Meghan.

THURSDAY

Slow Flow, 17.30: This all-levels class is a slow, soulful flow designed to help you feel every moment. We’ll stretch, strengthen, and soften with intention, weaving movement and stillness like poetry for your body. 60 min, taught by Elin.

Restorative Yoga, 18.45: a gentle, deeply restful class with supported poses and soft breathing to soothe the nervous system—where we prioritize being over doing. Release tension, quiet the mind, and settle into deep rest, leaving you grounded, nourished, and renewed. Teacher Elin is trained in mindful touch practices and offers a few minutes of massage or reiki for each student, or you’re welcome to simply rest and enjoy the calming space without outer impressions.

SATURDAY

Community Class, 10.00: A holistic, accessible yoga class offered at a discount, a love letter to the community. 75 min, taught by Emilia, Elin, and Meghan in rotation.

Meditation at the Studio

We are thrilled to be hosting meditation meetings at the studio on select Wednesday evenings this Fall. The meetings are part of Plum Village, a global community established by Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh.

The meetings will involve guided sitting meditation, sharing of experiences, and tea. All are welcome and no prior experience of meditation, mindfulness, or Zen is required.

The meetings are offered free of charge, although a small donation to cover rent is always appreciated.

Please register your interest here so that we know how many people are coming.

Upcoming dates:

Wednesday 14 October, 18.30-20.30.

Wednesday 11 November, 18.30-20.30.
